Installation of Site Finished & Pre- Finished Floors
When you decide to do a renovation or remodel you may be replacing old wood or adding all new wood, maybe even adding new wood to an existing floor. If it is a site- finished floor we will match species & size, lace-in to the existing floor, then sand, stain & finish to your color & finish choice. We only use green gard products, Bona dri-fast stains and finishes. Our stains are an oil-modified stain sealer. Our finishes are a water bourne. We can also repair some structural defects in sub-floors. In basements, especially older homes we recommend leveling the floor first, then a adding a moisture barrier before installing the flooring. Using a moisture barrier will help protect your investment.
Custom Stain Colors & Finishes
Installing a site-finished floor is a wonderful investment in your home. It requires installing raw wood, which is then sanded, stained, and then finish coats applied. This requries removing & replacing baseboards, or installing new if you would like. If you are adding on to an existing floor we will match species and color, for a seamless look. Or create a custom color for the entire floor. Prefinished floors come with a pre-applied color and finish. Both types of floors can be nailed down, or glued down depending on your situation. Repair of sub-floor if required. We will level your floor if necessary. We also can remove & replace large furniture pieces for you.
We can create a custom color for you, or match an existing stain color. We use Bona dri-fast stain/sealer. We use Bona Mega or Bona HD Traffic finishes.
Renovations & Remodels & New Construction
We custom build enclosed or open staircases. Each stair & tread is indivually measured & cut to insure a custom fit. We can remove & replace your railing system, or replace with a new one, either wood or wrought iron. Jay of Richard's Custom Carpentry does all of our railing systems with over 20 years experience he is a master carpenter. He brings quality and creativity to every job.
